I am Tarnia—a Counsellor and Psychotherapist who offers a quiet, compassionate space for those carrying heavy emotions, unanswered questions, or a sense of feeling lost. I understand how life can feel overwhelming, and how important it is to be met with kindness, where every story is heard without judgment.
I bring warmth, sensitivity, and a steady presence to my work, creating a space where you can begin to explore what is going on for you at your own pace.
If you would like to know more about who I am and how I support others, you are warmly invited to read on.
As a person-centred counsellor, I offer a space where you can feel truly heard and accepted. You lead the way, I will not tell you what to do or how to feel. Instead, I will walk alongside you as we explore your experiences together, at a pace that feels right for you. It is a gentle, respectful approach that creates a space where you can feel less alone with what you are carrying, and begin to explore it together.
Choosing the right therapist is an important step in your journey, and it is natural to have questions. To help you feel more comfortable with this process, I offer a free 15-minute telephone or video consultation. This gives us an opportunity to explore whether we are a good fit for working together.
If you feel ready to move forward, we can then schedule your first session at a time that suits you.
In our first session, we will take time to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to therapy. Whether you have clear goals or are still finding your way, we will go at your pace and begin shaping a path forward that feels right for you.
We will also talk through how therapy works and agree on boundaries so the process feels safe and comfortable. At the end of the session, we will decide together on the next steps and a schedule that suits your needs.
Your therapy journey is unique, and how it unfolds is entirely up to you. My role is to support you in your process of self-discovery. I may offer suggestions based on my training and experience, but I trust in your ability to recognise what is right for you.
Together, we will regularly check in to ensure you are receiving the support you need, and that our work together continues to feel meaningful.
Sessions are 50 minutes and cost £50. The initial 15-minute consultation is always free.
I currently offer online counselling for adults aged 18 and over, with face-to-face sessions planned for the future.
Appointments are currently available online during weekday evenings and Saturday mornings. Please get in touch to discuss current availability.
