I am a qualified counsellor trained to Masters level in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work in accordance with their ethical framework, offering a safe, confidential, and compassionate space for emotional exploration.
My practice is rooted in person-centred counselling, which means I believe in your capacity for growth and healing when met with empathy, acceptance, and genuine understanding. I bring warmth, attentiveness, and a deep respect for your unique story, whether you are navigating grief, identity, anxiety, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life.
Much of my experience has been in bereavement support, helping individuals process the loss of loved ones and the complex emotions that often accompany grief, such as loneliness, depression, and anxiety. I also welcome those navigating the loss of a beloved pet, a grief that can be profound and sometimes overlooked.
I have a particular interest in working with adult adoptees or adults who have experienced being in care, drawing from my own lived experience in the care system. I understand how questions around identity, belonging, and attachment can shape our emotional world, and I offer a space where these can be explored with sensitivity and care.
Creativity is an important part of who I am. I continue to create and exhibit artwork, and while this is not the focus of my counselling practice, it informs how I connect with emotion, expression, and the healing process. For clients who feel drawn to it, I offer creative techniques, such as art-based exploration as an optional part of our work together.
In addition to private practice, I also support NHS healthcare staff, offering counselling to those navigating stress, burnout, and emotional challenges within professional environments. This complements my belief that emotional wellbeing deserves attention in every area of life , including the workplace, where the demands of caring roles can take a quiet toll.
